The goal of this course is to introduce several electronic financial information service providers that could be utilized for hospitality business to hospitality learners. This course includes four sections:


            Section 1: Introduction

            Section 2: Software-based financial information service providers

            Section 3: Webpage-based financial information providers

            Section 4: Choose financial information service providers and

                             apply to hospitality industry


This course will take you 40 minutes in total to finish it. It also includes two assignments. Please make sure that you view this course in the order of sections.


After this course, you should be able to: 1. Describe the financial information service providers and the categories, and give examples for each. 2. Use Reuters and Hoovers to search for a hospitality company’s financial information. 3. Make a pro-folio of financial information service providers, and explain the reason. 4. Explain the usage of financial information service providers in hospitality industry.

Welcome to financial information service providers for hospitality industry e-learning course.

The Exelon Trading Center is a 2,200 square foot educational trading facility designed to replicate the trading floors in investment banks, brokerage houses, and hedge funds on Wall Street. The same computer hardware, software, networks, and market data feeds that are found in every financial institution throughout the world are incorporated. The center contains sixteen classroom workstations, four research room workstations, an instructor podium, and real-time feeds to two tickers and four LCD displays.
